Department of Telugu and Prof.Darla Venkateswara Rao Activities from July, 2021 onwards


1.    Department of Telugu has conducted Dasharathi 96th  Birth Anniversary on 22.07.2021 at Department of Telugu Prof.V.Krishna, Dean, School of Humanities, was the Chief Guest and  all faculty members of the Department of Telugu have attended this programme. It was presided by Prof.Darla Venkateswara Rao, Head Department of Telugu.

 

2.    Department of Telugu has conducted Gurram Jashuva’s 50th  Death Anniversary on 24.07.2021 at Department of Telugu Prof.V.Krishna, Dean, School of Humanities, was the Chief Guest and  all faculty members of the Department of Telugu have attended this programme. It was presided by Prof.Darla Venkateswara Rao, Head Department of Telugu.

 

            3. Department of Telugu had introduced a new literary activity titled Kotha Pusthakamtho Kasepu.The aim of this programme is to introduce new books of faculty members of the department and alumni from 9.8.2021 onwards. The book entitled daarlamaata Satakam was released in this programme on 9.8.2021. Prof. V.Shankar Rao was the chief guest.

 

           4. Department of Telugu, in collaboration with Centre for Endangered Languages   has conducted Sri Gidugu Venkata Ramamurthy 159th  Birth Anniversary  on 29.08.2021 at Department of Telugu,   Prof.A.Usha Devi,  Potti Sree Ramulu Telugu University was the Chief Guest.  All the faculty Department of Telugu attended the programme was presided over  by Prof.Darla Venkateswara Rao, Head Department of Telugu.

         5. Department of Telugu has conducted Kaloji Narayana Rao’s 107th  Birth Anniversary  on 09.09.2021 at Department of Telugu, Prof.V.Krishna, Dean, School of Humanities was the Chief  Guest. The programme presided over by Prof.Darla Venkateswara Rao, Head Department of Telugu.

            6. Department of Telugu has conducted an online Orientation programme for IMA, M.A,   Ph.D of newly admitted Telugu students and research scholars on 27.10.2021,2.00p.m to5.00pm.

         7.  Department of Telugu has conducted Felicitation to Manasa Yendluri. Young Sahitya Academy Awardee on 12.11.2021 at   Department of Telugu, Prof.V.Krishna, Dean School of Humanities was the Chief Guest. This  programme was presided by Prof.Darla Venkateswara Rao, Head Department of Telugu.

          8. Department of Telugu & CDAST has jointly conducted Book Inauguration of   Prof.V.Krishna’s Telugu translation Avathali Gudise (Hut Away) Novel on 22 March 2022.

         9, Department of Telugu, School of Humanities has conducted condolence meeting of Prof.Yendluri Sudhakar Rao on 31st January 2022.

1.      Department of Telugu has conducted a one day National Seminar on April 27, 2021 on Professor S. Saratjyothsna Rani works on the occasion of her superannuation in the Humanities auditorium, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, as coordinated by Dr.B.Bhujanga Reddy.

2.      . Department of Telugu has conducted Two dayNational Webinar on  Janapada sahitya Adyayanam  - Naadu, Nedu 24th &25th February  2022. Co-ordinator Dr D.Vijayakumari, Director Prof Darla Venkateswara Rao. Head of the Dept.

                 1. Department of Telugu has conducted Mahatma Jyothi Rao bapule  195th  Birth Anniversary  on 10.04.2022 at Department of Telugu, The Programme presided over by Prof.Darla Venkateswara Rao, Head Department of Telugu.

                 2. Department of Telugu, School of Humanities organized a Special Lecture Telugu Bhashabhivriddhilo Madras Christava Kalasala by Prof. Sripuram YagnaShekhar, Head, Department of Telugu, Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Chennai, on  31ST  March 2022

               3. Department of Telugu, in collaboration with Centre for Endangered Languages   has conducted International Mother Languages Day and a Special Lecture on Antarinchipotunna Bharatiya Matru Bhashala parirakshna by Prof Umarani Pappuswamy, Deputy Director, Central Institute of Languages, Mysore on 22 February 2022.
